H to K - Holo - History of R99

Today's update brings us backwards again to bring to you another snippet from the early history of the Project 99 Red server.  You can read more fully about the defeat of Holocaust in previous updates.  I'll go over the bullet points real quick.  -large gathering of pvpegos from all previous eqemus, -wannabe griefers, -claimed to be best past/present/future during recruiting efforts leading up to server launch, -brought no leaders along, -soundly defeated over every piece of content, -cried rivers of tears about defeats, -realized they can't compete w/o maps and cheat programs, -quit.

These are some of our kills on their members who's names begin with the letter H through K.  The Highkeep of slain holonoobs update.  Heartbrand (only his H character), Hobb, Illi, Jaleean, Kief.

Heartbrand tryin to mess around with my plvling efforts in Unrest.  As you've seen from previous kills on people who attack me while plvling, I don't sit around and wait for things to happen.  I was plvling Hijinx so all it took was a quick relog for him to force HB to sit and spin.

 Heartbrand trying to CR in lower guk.  Yeah I usually wouldn't kill nakeds on CR but that goes 2 ways and when you get lippy, you lose LnS privaleges. Take note of both this and the above HB kills nukers: both the druid and enc nukes landed at precisely the same moment. Thats how you encpvp.

 This is the geared corpse HB was trying to CR above.  I keep makin him dance in my ring of fire.

 Hobb trying to catch some med time on a remote hilltop in Lavastorm while theres a large Nihilum vs Holo fight going on over Nagafen.

 Illi trying to come into Fear to train us.  Trains may as well have been legal because we were better at busting them than they were at starting them.  This guy was so mad he kept trying to train until this character got banned.  Attention - a valuable commodity?

 Jaleean is a bindrusher.  He was bound behind king in lower guk.  I was not.  I was still able to hold the zone through all his rushing and naked dispelling/sieving.

 And hence Jaleean has been offline for the last 7 months.  Recently spotted online briefly, glad you sucked it up and came back.

 Kief dying outside Sol A during a large Nihilum vs Holocaust raid battle over Nagafen.  Notice Selena talking like he's ever stuck his neck out to keep anyone alive but himself.  These guys did lots of talking when they were right next to zonelines, a lot less talking recently though.

 Kief and Heartbrand camping dino in oot.  I introduced them to Z axis pvp this day.  They literally both stood still and spun around looking for me without returning any fire until Kief was dead and Heartbrand was gated.

 What was that I was saying about necros vs me in lower guk?  Oh ya, I alway wins.  Homefield advantage is worth 3 points but I'm automatic for the TD in the RZ just like Tebow.

OJ's RD Kills #5

Without further ado, Oddjob brings to you more killings of the scourge of Red Dawn.  Project Red 99's population has been steadily increasing, fights over Sebilis have become a daily occurrence, Red Dawn is raiding and competing, but bleeding some members.  Nihilum is doing great, recently getting server firsts Gorenaire kills and entering VP and downing the first mobs there.

This looks like a nasty jumping of Brennard but it's actually a full group vs a full group, only problem was their full group decided to do nothing but run.  We came to Sebilis to fight, they evac'd to EJ, so we evac'd to EJ also, once in EJ we took out their porters Dallas and some druid, then wiped up the rest of them except Lite who bailed for a zone line very early in the fight.  6v6 we got 5 of them after accurately predicting where they would evac to.  Was a good hunt.

 OJ and Nizzar go into BW seeking Dallas and Crowd, Crowd is found and put down.

 This was a really large battle Nihilum vs Red Dawn at the DL / BW zoneline, we had nothing but a druid and 2 monks and they had 10+ including 2 mages, 2 druids, a bard, war, rogue, cleric, and we fought them 3 vs all of them for 15 minutes or so before Tune came in to support our side, but by the time that happened we'd wiped 5 or so of them, and Mafakka evac'd the remaining 6 away from a 6vs4 fight against us.  Obviously the fight was trending drastically in our favor, taking no losses and taking out one of them each time a Tstaff proc'd.

 Saw Kilbur and Wanyo were tryin to do some AC in OOT, I put an end to that.

 Found Larsen camping AC in OOT, he yonder'd to the bottom of the ocean but I got the finish and the coins anyways, I'm a bloodhound.  Notice how nice I am, sending him the loc to his corpse I know will be difficult for him to find.  No need to grief once the competition's over. 

 A finish on Lite during a GvG fight at the DL / KC zoneline, as usual a small group of us came to clear KC and we did without losses.

 My first kill on Valiya who just recently hit level 52.  What a polite chap.

 Vizcount came down to jump me at frenzy camp in Lower guk, I was plvling Saljian and had no offensive spells up.  I quickly re-mem'd wildfire and took him the F out.  was nearly oom, ooh, and all plvl spells mem and saljian out of range no help, but a necro in guk is easy for a druid amirite!

This is another kill on Brennard.  Big fight last night (10/22) in Sebilis vs RD, 7 of us, 10 of them.  They come pouring through TT while Nihi is already in Seb.  I'm in TT watching for them.  I've turned into a Tree just south of the archway and I'm watching them all go by me, and as they are going by Brennard lags behind them.  So I drop a couple dot's on him and the guy is LD, turns out an LD rogue can be harder to fight than an active one, he chases me to the south wall, disappears with my dots on him.  I sit and wait knowing he'd be back right away because his 9 group mates are waiting on him, as soon as he reppears he dies...  I then call that the other 9 RD are entering Seb, the group inside is ready for them, we wipe them but take a few losses, the night ends with RD LnS and my rogue getting an RBG for some haste, nice.  To answer the tell - Yes Saljian, I was going commando out there.

 I was camping a 2nd EoE, my rogue has one but my main needs one again for some VP MR, I was sitting inside the Dregzak room when Chubs zones in.  I reposition myself behind a barricade and watch as he strafes around the doorway trying to find me.  He doesn't see me, comes into the room, I flank behind him and drop a Breath of Ro.  He doesn't react in time, he runs into the room as I'm wildfiring him, he wildfires me back, but by the time hes casting his 2nd spell, Gate, I'm casting my 3rd and get the finish.  Nobody gets to jump me unless I'm afk, there's a reason I'm always a gnome or a halfling, it's because of situations like this.  Awareness and positioning are my game, it's one area where I will not be matched.

OJ's RD Kills #4

My fourth update on the killings of Red Dawn is a unique one!  It's been a blast pvping these guys lately.  Sebilis and KC have been hoppin.  First, the bad news.  I ate my first death since the release of Kunark, in a GvG fight against RD in Sebilis.  We won the fight, but we lost the greenman!  Drunkenswami introduced me to the wrath of Tstaff procs, as he and Brainz chopped me to pieces.  It was nice and slow too, they took that full 10 second duration to finish me.  Drunkenswami got the kill.  We took the zone after their group wiped/plugged.  Reaction from the peanut gallery:

Freez was so proud of dying early in that fight to Minie that he posted a video on youtube about it.  Lite quoting me on my stance on mob agro for pvp, He is accurate, it happens.  Pets get feared, dispelled, people run where they shouldn't.  Deal with it.  I do.

Revenge was achieved soon after, myself and Thrilla went to Karnors Castle to take on 8 Red Dawn: Ezpk, Lite, Anklestraps, Pudge, Snori, Sickpuppy, Riley, and Drunkenswami.  They all died except Ezpk who plugged here directly after using his disc without landing one swing with it, also I killed Drunkenswami as he was trying to disc me and Pudge was on me, here's the slain message and Ezpk about to plug with his disc blown:

 

Next to die was Sickpuppy, he gated, but so did I, and finished him:

 Snori up next! boom boom boom one after another dropping

 Lite finished off, Pudge was next, Thrilla finished Snori again, Thrilla finished Riley and Anklestraps, the entire group of them is wiped, congrats us.

This is a Sebilis kill on Salem being played by Lite.

 We went down to lower guk to plvl, Found Cwenu and Bronkar there, killed both:

Also ran into Maniaco there, he tried to train, he died before I could get the finish:

 Ran into Nips trying to quad in OOT.  Pumiced one, Cheetah'd and caught up to him, Breath of Ro nice n fast while hes tryin to run, as he gets low he tries to gate, and boom goes the dynamite:

 Nips again, found him at Dino, racked up a set of DoT's on him and Scoriae'd as he tried to gate, his gate stayed within zone so I got the slain message.  Since Nips was so camera shy I decided to add a facsimile en absentia.

 

 The last kill this update is on Tomb, you know him as Critical on the forums, but you've probably not seen his name after you've seen his sig.  He does talk like a badass, this is my 2nd unanswered kill.

Good fights, Good kill on me Drunkenswami and getting you back makes us 1 and 1, You are the only member of Red Dawn with a kill on me so you are their champion, officially.

E to G - Holo - History of R99

The first update of October brings us back into our historical collection.  Featured today will be Holocaust members whos names begin with the letters E, F, and G.  Most of these people were fairly quiet and civil, normal kills.  But one of them has a mouth you'll remember well, and you'll be pleased he was appropriately, repeatedly punished for it.  He's long gone but he's one -1 pop that nobody misses. 

Enjoy and stay tuned, next update will be back to this weeks Kunark kills.  People are gating quicker and camping to avoid me lately but rest assured! If you are someone who avoids death by totally avoiding pvp, I'll probably try to find your bind and bind myself there and friend you and visit you until I get it.  Got some of my best spells recently, Mask of the Hunter and Form of the Hunter, and I'm taking this Hunter-Killer role seriously bros!  Beware the MOG! Half man! Half dog!

 Elks + Donkee vs Oddjob + Hijinx.  We won.  Donkee's invuln got him to the zoneline but as you saw in previous updates we caught up with him again.

 Filthed at his bind behind King in LG trying to harass me while I was camping manastone.  Of course I bound at the same spot and just gated to him instantly when he'd zone in, Proactive Offense is the best defense, Never be a sitting duck or you're picture will make this wall.

 Filthed, found his bind again this time Oasis.  Was plvling a friend on specs but made sure every time I saw him appear to gate and give him a hard time.

 Filthed wouldn't plug yet so I showed him how deep the mana pool really goes.

 Filthed bind camped again, now hes trying to quickly mem Yonder.

 Filthed smoked by Jinx with a rare Dizark appearence before he was sold to Hughman.

 The Gong played for him during his own show.  I gave him the hook.  Nagafen was won by Nihilum that night.  May have been one of the final daggers in Holocaust because Gongshow was trying to keep them going and everyone saw him bail on them without helping with CR that night.  Within a couple weeks they were dead so with leaders like this it'd be hard to stay inspired.
